Join us at Zega-Lockatong Preserve to seek out migratory birds and spring wildflowers, led by local naturalist Juanita Hummel. HAPPY EARTH DAY! 💚 HLT celebrated a day early w

HAPPY EARTH DAY! 💚 HLT celebrated a day early with our spring naturalist walk at Idell Preserve yesterday. Together we saw a variety of spring ephemerals and interesting plants (including the rue anemone and jack-in-the-pulpit pictured), and had the chance to view and learn about the diverse tadpoles and eggs inhabiting our vernal pools, thanks to the interpretation of the wonderful naturalist Juanita Hummel!

We have one more spring naturalist walk coming up in two weeks at Zega-Lockatong Preserve on Sunday, May 5th at 8 AM, which will focus on migratory birds and wildflowers. A few spots are still available, so RSVP to Emily Dunn, Stewardship Program Manager (emily@hunterdonlandtrust.org) to save your place!
