Volunteer

You can make a difference right here at home by working with Hunterdon Land Trust to protect the places you love!

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Hunterdon Land Trust, and so vital to everything we do. Whether it’s to lend a hand at our robust Farmers’ Market, help us maintain thousands of acres of land, or chipping in to handle a variety of office tasks, we could use your help!

Ways to Get Involved!

Stewardship Volunteers:

If you love working outside, we have wonderful volunteer opportunities helping steward Hunterdon County’s most beautiful preserves. We often need help removing invasive plant species and maintaining our trails so everyone can enjoy them. If you’d like to get outdoors and meet others who share your passion for working outside, sign up for one of our Stewardship Saturdays. You’ll find details here. Please email our Stewardship Program Manager Emily Dunn at emily@hunterdonlandtrust.org to learn more.

Farmers’ Market Volunteers:

Love our Farmers’ Market? Then, why not become a part of it! We are looking for volunteers to help with set up and break down of the market, directing traffic, assisting customers, and lending a hand with various duties. We have shifts available from 8 to 11 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Office Volunteers:

We are often seeking help handling a variety of tasks at our Dvoor Farm headquarters such as data entry; filing; assisting with event planning; delivering, flyers, rack cards or other promotional materials; or helping staff members with other administrative tasks.

If you have a special skill that might help us fulfill our mission, please reach out to us. To learn more, please email Laura Orbine at HLTadmin@hunterdonlandtrust.org.
