Qualified Charitable Distribution from your IRA

Support Hunterdon Land Trust with a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA.  

Starting at age 70½, a QCD is a direct transfer of money from your IRA provider, payable to a qualified charity. QCDs can be counted toward satisfying your required minimum distributions (RMDs) for the year, when applicable.  Your QCD must be made directly from your IRA custodian to Hunterdon Land Trust on your behalf.  Please consult your tax advisor.   

Stocks

Making a gift of securities is simple. With a gift of appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds, the total value of the asset upon transfer is tax deductible, and there is no obligation to pay capital gains taxes on the appreciation. Contact us at info@hunterdonlandtrust.org for more information.

Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)

Recommend a grant to Hunterdon Land Trust from dollars already reserved for charitable purposes. Please work directly with your investment advisor or DAF sponsor to initiate your gift. 

Planned Giving

Those who came before us treasured Hunterdon County’s beauty, handing a legacy down to the next generation. Now, it’s our turn. You can honor that tradition by setting up a bequest through your will or living trust. Designating Hunterdon Land Trust as a beneficiary of your bank, investment, or retirement accounts is a powerful way to ensure land, water, and wildlife are protected in perpetuity.
