Photo Contest Rules
All photos must be original work, taken by the entrants. No third party may own or control any materials the photo contains, and the photo must not infringe upon any trademark or copyright.
The photo must be an accurate representation of what is viewed. Photos may be minimally edited to adjust lighting, cropping etc. but dramatically altering backgrounds or distorting subjects within the frame is prohibited.
Entries will not be accepted unless submitted via the official contest channel (See below). Entries not submitted through the proper channel will be deleted.
Entries will be judged by a panel chosen by Hunterdon Land Trust (HLT). All decisions are final. HLT reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed inappropriate or does not conform to stated contest rules.
By entering the contest, entrants agree to grant Hunterdon Land Trust non-commercial royalty-free use of photographs to reproduce, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later developed. Photos may be used for advertising/promotional purposes, for fund-raising materials (including but not limited to calendars or notecards), for display on Hunterdon Land Trust’s website, social media accounts (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Constant Contact emailed newsletters), or for any future Hunterdon Land Trust photographic exhibitions. Photographers will be credited for work on any fund-raising material or in exhibitions in which their work was used.
Submissions received after the contest deadline will not qualify for prize consideration.
The winner will be contacted via email address or telephone number provided during entry. If no response is received after 14 business days, Hunterdon Land Trust reserves the right to identify a new winner and the previous winner will forfeit all rights to the prize.
By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees to the rules of the contest. Violators will be stripped of recognition as winner, and forfeit their prize.
The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Hunterdon Land Trust reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion.
