Become a Supporter
There are lots of ways to get involved with Hunterdon Land Trust, from becoming a supporter and serving as a volunteer to attending one of our many events.
Support Your Land Trust
As a supporter of the Hunterdon Land Trust, you are a direct agent of land preservation in Hunterdon County and helping to protect drinking water, healthy ecosystems, beautiful landscapes, and family farms. And with a gift of $50 or more, you get special discounts at the Hunterdon Land Trust Farmers’ Market; invitations to special events such as wilderness hikes, birding programs, and visits to preserved lands; and our newsletter Conservation Matters, with updates on land preservation projects, upcoming events, and environmental issues in Hunterdon County.
• Donate online
The most immediate way to give, your online donation funds the day-to-day work of protecting the places you love in Hunterdon County.
• Monthly giving
Join the Evergreen Partners, our monthly giving program that automatically charges your credit card in the amount you specify.
• Tribute and honor giving
Celebrate a special person’s life, birthday, wedding, or anniversary with a gift in their honor to the Hunterdon Land Trust.
• Matching gifts
Make the most of your gift to the Hunterdon Land Trust. Many companies will match the charitable gifts of their employees. See if your company has a matching gift program; a partial list can be found here. Most corporate procedures are simple. Just request a Matching Form from your company and submit the form to the Hunterdon Land Trust along with your gift.
• Gifts of stock
Donating stock or other securities is one of the best ways to support the Hunterdon Land Trust. Making a gift of securities is simple and lets you take advantage of not one but two types of tax savings. With a gift of appreciated stocks, bonds or mutual funds, the total value of the asset upon transfer is tax deductible, and there is no obligation to pay capital gains taxes on the appreciation.
